Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone | DC Boudoir Studio
Most of the time I love shooting boudoir in my commercial studio. It's is like a cozy couch, snuggled up with some junk food and endless episodes of Gilmore Girls on Netflix. It's safe, predictable, and completely... comfortable.
The lighting is reliable, I've usually got a soothing playlist going and I am in control baby. I have a rhythm to the way I move about the studio with clients and it feels safe. And at times, shooting boudoir in the same locations gets, well, remarkably boring. I start to notice that I'm not growing technically and I'm certainly not expanding creatively. Suddenly I'm well aware of how stale I feel, and I realize that I only have one choice to make. Stop "Netflixing and chilling" in my studio and walk towards the unknown, the unpredictable, to challenge myself and have a chance to...
I feel the same is true for gals who seek out a boudoir session with me. After moving past all the reasons clients book a boudoir session (birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, engagements). Women like you that have an interest in boudoir are REALLY asking me to help them step out of their comfort zone and (you guessed it)
I read this on 99.998% of email inquires.
Every time I read this, I want to virtually grab their hand through the Gmail interwebs and say, "Honey, I've got you and you will be amazed at who you become on the other side of this." Because I know, having given hundreds of women in and around DC an incredible boudoir experience, what is waiting for you after your session is a Red Bull-like injection of confidence building ju ju that will leave your partner's head spinning, a heart fulfilled, and you walking of my studio a changed woman.
YOU WILL GROW.
And so when studio life got stale, and I was in need of some serious creative-HGH. I put on Off! spray and took a walk in the woods. It was time to get dirty, sweaty, mosquito-bitten, and enjoy all the sandy goodness that comes with expanding your horizons and being the best you yet.
Trust me the Comfort Zone is over-flipping-rated.
This private location also had an incredible small beach. So of course we got wet, sandy and super duper sexy.
